from the Principal
Welcome to Boronia West Primary School’s web page.

We are very proud of our school and what 2019 will bring for us. Our school site is large, spacious and a wonderful place for our students to play and learn. As a small school we are able to offer all the opportunities of a government primary school. All the teachers know all the students and there is a real feeling of community at the school and this extends to many community groups who also use our facility out of school hours.

We are excited this year to add a Tuesday Community Playgroup which starts early in Term 2 as well as our Thursday Supported Playgroup. We welcome our partnership with the Knox City Council for this wonderful initiative.

Our program at Boronia West Primary School is supported by the latest in research based education and delivers the Victorian Curriculum to our students in an innovative and individualised way. As a learning community, we foster a genuine community feeling that encourages lifelong learners and prepares our students for their future. Our specialist program includes Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Physical Education. We currently teach AUSLAN and have a program to support our indigenous students and educate the community through Woiwurrung - the traditional language of the Wurundjieri People.

I look forward to taking prospective families on a school tour and talking about what we can offer your child as they start their education. I look forward to working with our school community throughout the year ahead as we grow through learning.
